REQUIREMENTS FOR FRESHERS... ALL PROCEDURES SIMPLIFIED

This is for those that have gotten admission, I will advice
you to keep this things ready now that you haven’t started
your clearance. Because you must surely need it and you
don’t want to be calling or going home to bring them it will
even make you more frustrated
So let’s start
*Acceptance fee Receipt
*Departmental fee Receipt.
*SUG receipt
* Original and photocopies of WAEC/NECO Certificate or
Statement of Result duly signed and stamped by the
School Principal.
*Medical fee Receipt
*Birth Certificate
*Attestation Letter( can be gotten from your school
, a reputable source, church, office e.t.c )
*Local Government Identification Letter.
* Original O’Level Result (can be gotten from your school )
Please note: for those using GCE, you can get yours
from the exam office in the region you wrote it
*WAEC, NECO spread sheet ( though , not all
departments demands for it ).if you find it difficult to
get, let me know.
*Original JAMB result slip (the one with passport
photograph)
*JAMB admission letter
*FUTO admission letter
*Confirmation of Admission Letter (that one you got from
Senate)
*Post Utme Result
*Validity Form (form 18 and 19)…
When you have these documents , go to your department
and start your clearance. After completion , you’ll receive
a Clearance form Called ‘FORM 8’. It should be duly signed
and stamped by the Head of Department (HOD)
After that, a username and password shall be issued to
you from your department;
Please note that only the Successful candidates who have
been satisfactorily cleared by the Departments are required
to proceed to the University portal for their school fees
and accommodation payment processes. Without that
Username and Password , you can’t pay your school fees..
* When you must have gotten a username and password
from your Course Advisor , Go to the official website of
Federal University of Technology, Futo @ www.futo.edu.ng
and click on FUTO portal
* When the webpage loads up, Log into the futo edu
portal with your username and password. Click on
the“Fees menu”and then click on the“Print Invoice”button
to generate your school fees invoice. Remember to change
your password on first log-in.,,
NOTE: Before you Print or fill anything , make sure you
upload your passport ..
Infact, visit www.futo.edu.ng now and click on futo portal..
You’ll see everything there . Try it now..
When you must have printed out the documents , proceed
to the designated banks (no bank for now cos it has not
been made known to the public ). On Payment of school
fees, you’ll be issued with an E-transact slip containing
.Your name, reg number , pin number and receipt number .
Make sure you hide your E-transact pin the way you hide
your ATM Pin.
* – Amount to pay For: FUTO TUITION Fee.
* Futo School Fees(via E-tranzact platform):
i. Geology– (100l) School fees N50,800 only (as at last
year), no one knows what the VC has in mind for this
year as at now, you’ll be duly informed when time comes
but make sure your money is up to what you’re seeing now.
ii. Others Departments/Faculties – N48,300 Only. (as at
last year, no one knows what the VC has in mind for this
year as at now, you’ll be duly informed when time comes
but make sure your money is up to what you’re seeing now.
Changes may apply. ).
***FUTO Accommodation Fee(HOSTEL, and its not
compulsory unless they start the enforcement this year but
I doubt )
You can chose to stay OFF-CAMPUS.(Umuchima, Eziobodo,
Ihiagwa e.t.c)
Problem Of Accommodation For Freshers (SOLVED)
Proceed to SOCS Building and ask questions on how to pay
for hostel accomodation . You’ll fill a form and after that,
proceed to Microfinance.
All students offered accommodation should pay the
accommodation fee at FUTO Micro Finance Bank(thats the
usual place).
i. Accommodation–NGN 10-12,000.00 only (as at last
session, changes may apply)..
NDDC Hostel- N40,000(N.B- you cannot cook and can
never be allowed to cook, so make your decision now).
After payment , return to the place where you filled the
form with your school fees receipt and the hostel receipt
you got from micro finance. After that, you may be asked
to return in few days time for hostel allocation..

When you’re done with your departmental clearance, you
can go to FUTO library and get a library card.
After the collection, take the card to your department for
HOD to sign and stamp it. After he/she must have signed,
take the card back to library and give it to the right
person after which another card will be issued to you and
that one becomes yours.
After all the processes, both school fees payment ,
departmental clearance e.t.c, Proceed to Registrar/
Admission unit(Old SEET head) for collection of FUTO
green file but make sure you go with a file and your
documents ..
* Clearance Form (Form 6).
* Original and photocopies of WAEC/NECO Certificate or
Statement of Result duly signed and stamped by the School
Principal.
* Original and photocopies of OND/HND Certificate for
Direct
Entry students.
* Original and photocopies of Spread-Sheet of School
Certificate
Result duly signed and stamped by the School Principal.
* Original and photocopies of JAMB and Post-JAMB result
slips.
* JAMB and FUTO Admission Letters.
* University official receipts for Acceptance Fee, Medical
Clearance, Library Clearance, e-transact slip and School
fees
Receipt.
* Original and photocopies of Birth Certificate or Statutory
Declaration of Age.
* Letter of Identification from Local Government Area of
Origin,
and Confirmation of Admission Letter.
* Undertaking Form duly processed for stamp-duty at the
Sub-
Treasury.
Then Sign the Freshmen Registration Data Form (Form 11)
on
completion of registration.
When the time for the issuance of matriculation/
registration number commences, you’ll be duly informed by
your Course Rep.
Go with originals and photocopies of each document .
